Debi Rosati
President
RosatiNet,inc.


Debi Rosati founded RosatiNet, inc. a venture catalyst firm focused on developing financing strategies for technology start-ups. For entrepreneurs that need capital and business advise, Rosatinet develops strategies, facilitates networking, and advises senior management on strategic business issues. With over 20 years of experience and an extensive network, Rosatinet helps you access the right amount of money, at the right time, with the right investors and the right terms.

Debi comes with experience on both sides of the financing equation, first as a co-founder, chief financial officer (CFO) of TimeStep Corporation (acquired by Newbridge in September 1999) she gained operational and financing experience in a technology start-up. Debi has also held senior finance positions with Tundra (formerly Newbridge Microsystems, a division of Newbridge), Cognos, and BDO Dunwoody.

As a General Partner at Celtic House, the venture capital arm of Terry Matthews, she was involved in all aspects of venture investing including evaluating investment opportunities, negotiating deal structure, and operational guidance.

Debi sits on the board of Axis Investment Fund, Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) and Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), as well as on the advisory boards of KidsFutures, Ambercore Software and Serence. She was formerly on the board of Valaran Corporation, Got Marketing, Junior Achievement and OLAP@Work.

Debi is actively involved in her community through her business leadership roles on the Campaign Cabinet of the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, School of Management Advisory Board, University of Ottawa and Faculty of Business Advisory Council, Brock University, The Entrepreneurship Centre Advisory Committee of OCRI and CATA's Women in Technology (WIT) Forum National Advisory Board. She has been involved in fundraising events for the National Ovarian Cancer Association (NOCA). She has chaired the Governance Committee of Junior Achievement of Ottawa Carleton and has participated as a judge in the 2005 Wes Nicol Entrepreneurial Award, the Ottawa Business Journal's 2002 Top 40 under 40 awards and the 2002 student Technology Venture Challenge.

Debi Rosati has received the following awards: Brock University's Faculty of Business 2003 Distinguished Graduate award and the Ottawa Business Journal 2001-Top 40 under 40 Award.

Debi Rosati is a member of the Canadian Venture Capital Association, Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants and formerly a member of the Canadian Institute of Investor Relations Institute.

Graduated from Brock University, Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (1984) and is a Chartered Accountant (1985) with over 20 years in the field of finance and management.
