CATA WIT Forum National Advisory Council

Mandate

To provide strategic guidance and support to the Vice President and the Co-Chairs of  CATA's Women in Technology (WIT) Forum in the development and management of the CATA WIT Forum.

Composition

The  CATA WIT Forum National Advisory Council is composed of the Vice President and the Co-Chairs of CATA WIT Forum and women leaders in the technology community. The Vice President and the Co-Chairs of CATA's WIT Forum will select the advisors with recommendations made by the National Advisory Council. The National Advisory Council will consist of 12-14 members representing a cross-sector of women leaders in the technology community. The Vice President and the Co-Chairs of CATA's WIT Forum may invite other guests to attend the National Advisory Council meetings.

Commitment

The representation of the CATA WIT Forum National Advisory Council will be made of the following members:

• A representative from a partner that has made a monetary contribution or an affiliate that makes a contribution "in-kind" on an annual basis.
• An individual that contributes "in-kind" expertise as a champion for one of the 4 pillars of the WIT Forum and national initiatives.
• Regional Chapter Chairs and Co-chairs to ensure consistency from a national perspective.

Term

National Advisory Council members are selected for a minimum of one year if Council member is representing a national partner or affiliate otherwise a renewable two-year term.

Expectations of Advisors

• Be members of the CATA WIT  Forum through either an individual or organizational membership or a partner or affiliate membership.
• Prepare for and attend National Advisory Council meetings.
• Assist in the implementation of the Forum by providing advice, guidance and feedback as requested and where possible.
• Act as ambassadors to the Women in Technology Forum
• Provide support to the Women in Technology Forum where appropriate and possible through activities such as attending events related to the Forum, recruiting members and sponsorship.
• Meetings of the National Advisory Council will be expected to meet bi-monthly. Additional meeting may be required at the discretion of the Council and Co-Chair.
