CATA WIT British Columbia Chapter

Welcome to CATA WIT British Columbia in 2009 - our launch year! We have recently established the BC chapter to bring together women in the technology sector, providing opportunities for career growth, collaboration, and fun. Our aim is to help women at all stages of their careers, from new entrants to the industry to those in more senior positions, as well as women entrepreneurs.

The CATA WIT BC chapter helps women in the technology sector achieve their career goals by providing access to the resources needed for growth:

Access to Knowledge - providing a forum for professional development, knowledge sharing and mentoring

Access to Career Opportunities - bringing hiring managers, recruiters and job seekers together

Access to Capital - facilitating connections between investors and women entrepreneurs

We achieve this through our program of events that runs throughout the year.

The national CATA WIT organization enhances the experience of women in the technology sector through the initiatives of the individual chapters and indirectly via advocacy activities. CATA WIT is leading a national project funded by the Canadian Government's Status of Women Partnership Fund that is designed to help women succeed in Canada's technology industries.
