Bio

Melissa McCrae
Executive Director, Graduate Business Programs, Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University


Melissa McCrae is the Executive Director of Graduate Programs at SFU Business. She is an Instructor at SFU Business, for both undergraduate and graduate students, teaching Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour. Previously, she was an Associate Director in the Career Management Centre at SFU Business where she managed the career education program and coached Executive MBA and Management of Technology MBA students on career transition strategies. She continues to facilitate workshops on self-assessment, career mapping, networking, and various aspects of job search.

She is currently pursuing her PhD in Management and Organization Studies at Simon Fraser University. Before beginning her PhD, she worked for Blast Radius in Client Services, managing proposals and conducting prospect research and sales forecasting. She was also with Nortel Networks, managing intellectual property protection employee education programs. She has an MBA (Management Organization Studies and Marketing) from SFU and a Bachelor of Science from Queens University.
