Caroline Somers a plus de 20 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie des technologies de pointe. Elle est actuellement co-Présidente-Directeur Générale de Cassidy Bay Group Inc, qui guide les entreprises dans l'amélioration de leurs organisations en construisant des équipes gagnantes dirigées par des chefs d'entreprise performants. Mme Somers a été co-fondatrice et Vice Présidente, Marketing et Gestion de Produits de Vienna Systems, innovateur de produits " Voice over IP " qui a été acquis par Nokia en 1998. Elle a aussi tenu un poste de direction à Newbridge Networks et Bell-Northern Research en Gestion de Produits et en Finance.
Mme Somers est membre des conseils de DNA Genotek et de Parteq, est aviseure au Kingston Cancer Research Institution et est membre du Conseil du Doyen des Arts et Sciences de l'Université Queen's. Elle est membre du conseil de Volunteer Ottawa et a aussi servi comme membre du conseil du Regional Cancer Center Foundation d'Ottawa.

Caroline Somers has over 20 years of experience in the high tech industry. She currently is Co-CEO of Cassidy Bay Group Inc, which assists companies to be more effective organizations by building powerful teams and coaching executives to be successful managers and leaders. Caroline is a Certified Professional Co-active coach. (CPCC). She is also active as an angel investor, a member of the National Angel Organization, and a Managing Partner of the Band of Scoundrels, a partnership of angel investors. Caroline's coaching clients are executives in the technology sector and in the not for profit which are both her passions. She is a leader for Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation's (OCRI's) Entrepreneurs Edge course focused on helping entrepreneurs learn how to build successful companies. Ms Somers was co-founder and VP Marketing and Product Management of Vienna Systems, a pioneer of Voice over IP products that was acquired by Nokia in 1998. She has also held management positions at Newbridge Networks and Bell-Northern Research in Product Management and Finance.
Ms Somers serves as a board member of DNA Genotek, on the board of Parteq, an advisor to the Kingston Cancer Research Institution and a member of the Arts and Science Dean's Council at Queen's University.
