 Paul Brent
Host Tech Now and Reporter
Paul is CTV'S technology specialist. He covers the tech beat including the gadgets, the people and the companies who make up the technology industry. Paul has reported from a space shuttle launch, a Japanese car plant, inside a Canadian salt mine, inside the country's top tech labs and from the streets of Silicon Valley, Calif.
Paul also produces and reports for TECH NOW. Every Sunday, as part of the CTV News at 6, Paul examines the local high-tech industry as well as developments around the world in tech.
Paul has been in the broadcast news industry for over 35 years, working in radio and television. In 2001 he was recognized as the technology and science reporter of the year by Canada's largest tech organization, the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance. In 2005, he won the award for "Best News Story" of the year from the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation.
