OCE Mind to Market
September 18, 2007
CATA WIT Ottawa members (maximum 8 - first come, first served) are invited to attend a special breakfast meeting hosted by Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) at the special rate of $55 per person (regular $75). OCE's Mind to Market event is coming to Ottawa for the first time on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at the Ottawa Congress Centre. The session starts at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 9:00 a.m. The focus of the Mind to Market Breakfast Series is emerging technologies and innovation.
Dr. Anne Golden, President and CEO of The Conference Board of Canada, will participate in this incredible morning session that features Dan Fortin, President of IBM Canada. Mr. Fortin will discuss how over the next five years, emerging technology innovations will change the way we live and work. Dr. Golden will also share highlights from the Board's recent work, How Canada Performs: A Report Card on Canada. In this report, the Conference Board provides a snapshot of Canada's performance relative to other industrialized countries. Overall Canada does not do well especially in terms of innovation. Anne will talk about Canada's failure to innovate and provide an overview of a recent Board initiative in this area.
As part of its ongoing partnership with CATA WIT, OCE is pleased to offer this special rate to WIT members.
