CATA WIT Toronto Chapter 2010/2011 Professional Development Series
Session 3 - The Power of Elegance in Innovation, Strategy and Marketing
By Matt May
Local Expert: Anne Raymond, Xtreme Productivity Coach
It’s counter intuitive, unconventional, but undeniably powerful: the best ideas are those that are intentionally open to interpretation and leave something to the imagination. They exploit the seductive power of “the missing piece.” Every day we've got more to do and less to do it with, and so how do we maximize our impact with a minimum of input? Designed for managers and executives who are looking for a way, especially during this economic crisis, to move their businesses forward while consuming fewer resources. In this talk, Matt draws on the most compelling stories of individuals, teams and organizations to demonstrate how when ideas and strategies are intelligently chiseled to allow customers to add their own touch and actually participate in the emerging situation, the outcome is an irresistible simplicity.
Participants will learn:
- The four keys to elegant solutions: seduction, subtraction, symmetry and sustainability
- How to hone that ability to find the elusive “know it when you see it” that leads to “gotta have it” – in business, work and life
