Valerie Mann Valerie Mann, a partner in Lawson Lundell LLP’s Vancouver office, has an extensive transactional and advisory practice that focuses on mergers and acquisitions along with corporate financing and technology law. Valerie is the Co-Chair of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice group as well as Chair of the firm’s Technology and Competition Law group. She also sits on the firm's executive committee. Valerie's transactional practice involves various industries including resource, financial, real property, services and manufacturing, and she has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to assisting clients with financing and commercialization of technology ventures, including hardware manufacturers, software developers, e-commerce companies, new media ventures and biotechnology companies. With years of competition in team sports, adventure and mountain bike racing pumping through her blood, she came to Active in 2000 in pursuit of combining her career with the things she loves to do. Throughout her years at Active, she has focused on community-based markets such as Health and Wellness, Sports, Public Sector, Non Profit and Events, as an integral leader in the organic evolvement of the sales organization from start up through their enduring stages. Her current role as the VP of Sales Operations affords her the opportunity to grow a world-class sales organization at Active and provide inspiration to others who are interested in personal and career growth. She moved to British Columbia in 2006 in pursuit of better work-life balance, which for her, means spending more time with her family playing outdoors, hiking, running and yoga.
