Carleton University announces Bursaries for the Management Development Program for Women (MDPW)
May 28, 2010

CATA WIT Forum would like to make you aware of this special management development opportunity which is open to women working in high tech companies:

New Bursaries Available

CREWW

The Centre for Research and Education on Women and Work (CREWW) at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, is pleased to announce the availability of new bursaries for the Management Development Program for Women (MDPW) for the 2010-11 academic year. This year, there will be 6 Leacross Foundation / R. Bern full bursaries valued at $7,500 each available to women working in the Technology sector, Trades, the Not-for-Profit sector, and Small Business Owners. In addition to the Leacross bursaries, 3 KPMG bursaries valued at $5,000 each are also available to support residents of Ontario who are paying their own tuition fees.

The Management Development Program for Women (MDPW) is a part-time professional program in the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. The MDPW is designed to provide working women with an opportunity to develop their management and leadership skills in a supportive environment, while having an opportunity to discuss the particular challenges that women face in management. The program meets for 3 days per month for 10 months and covers all functional areas of business. The program is designed to facilitate the transfer of learning from the classroom to the workplace. Workplace based assignments require participants to integrate new theories and skills with data and experience drawn from their own work setting. Certification and university credit are available upon successful completion of the program.
